Abstract Submissions

The Texas Hip and Knee Conference Research Committee is excited to invite you to submit arthroplasty-related research abstracts for poster presentation consideration. Abstract submissions will be reviewed by the Committee; the top abstract submissions will be notified of their selection for poster presentation at the THK Conference. Additionally, the top 2 poster presentations will be given the honor of 

concluding the research symposium portion of the evening with podium presentations.

Submission Guidelines

• Abstract submissions must be 300 words or less.

• Format should include introduction, methods, results, and conclusion (titles not included in word count). Submissions should consist of new, unpublished work which contributes significantly to the arthroplasty community.

• Abstracts can be submitted until: Monday, March 31st, 2025 at 11:59 pm CST. 

• Authors may submit multiple abstracts as lead-author or co-author.

• Authors will be notified of their acceptance for poster presentation by  Monday, April 7th, 2025 at 11:59 pm CST.

• The top 2 poster presentations will be notified, in advance, of the opportunity to close our research symposium with podium presentations. 

• Prizes will be given for the podium presenter winners, and will be announced at the 2025 THK Conference.

If your abstract is accepted for poster presentation, there will be follow-up email with pertinent information regarding poster templates, and the printing of posters. There will be a $100 combined printing, delivery, and setup fee for all who are accepted for poster presentation. This $100 fee will be emailed to you as an invoice if you are accepted for poster presentation.
